As an experienced DJ and producer hailing from the underground rave & techno scenes of the 90’s, Umwelt is one of the most important and prolific electronic music producers and a truly rare DJ. He is the author of an important discography EPs, LPs and albums plus dozens of remixes, including on his own Rave Or Die and NewFlesh Records labels.
He has built year after year, his specific sounds far from the trends designing his own and unique electro and techno style, the "UMWELT's touch" so appreciated. He always delivers a fierce, dark and cinematographic music at the crossroads between the classics and an assumed modernity. In 2025, his last EP on Monnon Black "Beyond The Visible Spectrum", his tracks, remixes and collabs released and to be released on his labels and several labels are the perfect illustrations of his huge ability of drawing his path with instinct!
As a vinyl and analog sounds freak, the Lyon based DJ, continues to make records spin on the desks and celebrate the work of the early pioneers by a wild and straight mode of transport on the dancefloor, while progressively leading the audience into dark, melancholic, dancing sometimes raw and mental atmospheres. His goal is to bring people all together for a unique trip.
